Ordering online: your privacy and security

Privacy
We respect your privacy. Therefore, we guarantee that the information supplied when placing your order will not be made available to any third parties in any way.
Your email address is needed to send you an email message to confirm your order. It will not be used for any other purpose, and you will not receive any unsolicited email messages as a result.
There's one exception: in the order form, you can indicate whether you want to be added to our mailing list (by default, you won't be). If you choose to be added, you'll be notified of additions and updates to www.sypron.nl, though never more than once per month. Of course, your email address will not be used for any other purpose than this. You can of course unsubscribe at any time.

Cookies
To order at www.sypron.nl, your browser must accept cookies from www.sypron.nl and secure.bibit.com. If not, you won't be able to pay online. This is for anti-fraud purposes only; no personal information is collected by these cookies.

Secure Online Payment
When ordering at www.sypron.nl, you must pay online by credit card. This uses a so-called "secure" payment interface, which ensures that your credit card details cannot be intercepted by unauthorised individuals.
To verify that you are using a secure connection when making your payment, check the "lock" icon in your browser (usually somewhere at the bottom of the window) before entering your credit card number: the lock should be closed. Alternatively, you can also check that the URL of the page starts with "https://". Click here for an example of our payment selection page.

Payments at www.sypron.nl are handled by Bibit , the leading Internet payment services provider in Europe. Bibit is specialised in providing secure payment services for e-commerce.
Technically, the shop at www.sypron.nl works as follows:
  • First, you place your order, and enter your shipping address details on www.sypron.nl.
  • Then, you press the button "Continue to Secure Payment" and you are redirected to the secure Bibit payment server (check that the lock icon in your browser is closed, or the URL starts with "https://"). Here, you are presented with a choice of payment methods; you choose your type of credit card, enter the credit card details, and complete the payment.
  • Next, you are redirected back to www.sypron.nl, and you'll receive an email confirming your payment and your order. This completes the ordering process; we will then ship your order as soon as possible.
If, for some reason, your payment was refused (for example, you entered an invalid expiration date for your credit card), you can usually try again by using the "Back" button in your browser. You'll also receive an email confirming each refused payment attempt.

What happens to your credit card information ?
One of the strong points of our payment handling system is that your credit card details will only be known to the payment services provider (Bibit) who authorise and process your payment. All interaction that concerns your payment takes places on their secure web server and is therefore safe.
The webshop (www.sypron.nl) does not have any sensitive information about your credit card; the only things we know are: (i) the type of credit card you've used (e.g. Visa, Mastercard, etc), and (ii) whether you paid successfully or not. However, we don't know, and won't ever know, your credit card number, as Bibit simply does not make this information available. Because Bibit pays special attention to secure and protected processing and storage of your credit card details, this setup is the best guarantee for the security of your online payment.

Verifying your payment
You can verify your payment through the web site of our payment services provider at https://secure.bibit.com/jsp/shopper/OrderInfo.jsp. By specifing your credit card number and the exact amount paid for your order, you'll get the payment details (don't forget to select the currency code as "EUR" !).

Your credit card statement
On your credit card statement, your payment will mention "Bibit Internet" and/or "Sypron". It will also indicate a European country, which is the location of the financial institution via which your payment was processed (like "FR", for France -- note that this is only about the 'route' your payment has followed through the different banks involved; otherwise, it is irrelevant for all practical purposes: you may never have visited that country, for example).
